When an electric stove will not start, first check if the appliance is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are on. You will want to check the pilot light for gas models. If the oven is plugged in or if the pilot light is burning in the oven, that means a different part of the oven will need to be fixed. The cause of the issue could be the infinite switch, surface element, oven igniter or broil and bake element.
A stove or burner without produce heat will not do much good. An oven won’t heat when there’s a broken oven sensor or a malfunctioning bake element. A burner does not turn on if an element breaks or if the burner switch or terminal block do not work. We can troubleshoot and repair these common issues in no more than 1-2 hours after our arrival.
You can assume the control board on a stove or oven is broken if the timer or program functions are not working. In this case, we can replace control boards for LG, Sears, GE, KitchenAid, Kenmore and most other brands and models of stoves, ovens and ranges. We provide a warranty on all of the control boards and manufacturer parts we need for this oven repair service.
You always need a hot oven. But not too hot! When the oven heat is out of control, it might be due to an issue with the thermostat or sensor. Our appliance repairmen are able to identify the cause of the issue and fix it. But be careful when troubleshooting this problem for fear of body burns from the high and unpredictable heat source.
A common stove issue is times where an igniter glows but does not light. The reason this occurs is sometimes from a broken safety valve, electronic control, surface igniter or sensor. We will determine whether we can fix these appliance parts or if we will have to replace the parts.
Newer self-cleaning ovens are known to have door problems often. The door won’t open after the oven is done cleaning itself. We inspect the door latch, seal and thermostat to troubleshoot why the door does not open up and then we complete the necessary repair in order to put an end to the problem.
